SodaMeltsMouse Posted October 4, 2015 Report Share Posted October 4, 2015 I just noticed that I posted this in the wrong place the first time!! ^__^; Hello, I'm huge, and need help. That probably wasn't a very good introduction, but it is true. The shape I'm in is round, I get winded walking up a hill, and I swear I make whale noises when I sleep... o.o A bit more info: I'm officially in the worst shape of my life, I have a sit-down job as a sort-of telemarketer (The Enemy of Other People's Dinnertime), and my eating habits are appalling, but I am willing to fix this. I just have no idea where to start. Fixing my eating habits is probably the best place to start, but junk is just sooooooo tasty.What's odd is that, even though I spend my work day staring at screens, and my breaks staring at other screens, all I want to do when I come home is stare at yet MORE screens: Netflix, video games, etc...I wonder if there any exercises I can do while at my desk, since I work the later shift I already try to incorperate squats later on in the evening, but squatting in heels is never fun, and it only focuses on one area. Also, as a rather pathetic side note, even my cat is huge... Quote Link to comment

Don't change it all at once, unless you're like me and just have to go cold turkey, just reduce/swap it out. Change a soda, for a flavored carbonated water, chips for carrots... etc. Use the junk food as a bit of a reward. The best tip for me and reducing the junk food I eat, is to fill myself up on healthy food to the point I don't want to eat anymore. If possible, just standing at your desk is great. I've raised my up and use a tall chair for sitting to give my legs a break, but if you're on a call maybe you could stand up and pace around for the duration of the call. Little things just to get you up and moving would be a good start.
