Thinking of switching my lunch workout

Recommended Posts

Yea, I switched and it was way way more of a workout than just moving my legs up and down until the timer beeps... does anybody see any reason why I should alternate strength and cardio day by day?

Recovery.

If you are doing both every day chances are either you have amazing recovery or you aren't working very hard.

You should always have at least a day break between higher impact cadio (walking doesn't count unless you are very out of shape) or strength training the same muscle group.

You're cycling, so low impact yes?

In my unprofessional opinion, i can't see any significant disadvantages for your goals for 2012. Alternating workouts is especially at the beginning is an awesome way of building a good foundation of strentgh and endurance.

As you know, the muscle workouts keep the energy burning after you finish, and build muscle... which in turn burns more energy.

sgood

keep it up :D
