I didnt fall off the wagon, i jumped out a plane without a parachute

Recommended Posts

Well, lets see. Its been quite a long time since ive been on here and i can honestly say i dont even know what my weight is anymore just that my pants are getting tight and my shirts are getting smaller.

I hit my peak back in mid 2013 while on deployment in afghanistan, 5'7, 190lbs, while squatting close to 400 and running 14 minute two miles. Well deployment ended, some shit happened in the family i took to drinking more stopped working out besides PT got fat and ended up getting booted out of the Army. Now ive been home for 5 months now and im just getting back into a physical job after having a pretty sedentary lifestyle. I dont really know where to start now and cant seem to remember what to do. All i know is i need to get back in shape and soon. so please, any pointers you guys got send em my way.

Thank you, -Draken 273

It's easy to get lost and lose sight of your goals in the vast open-world role playing game call life.  Those First Person Shooters are all on rails, or close enough to rails to always have an eye on your goals as you are led toward them.

It sounds like you're already on the right track going from sedentary to a physical job - just make sure your diet is clean (minus the alcohol) and substantial enough and things should fall back in to place now you have a routine again.  Things are sometimes easier when the routine is out of your control and the people around you are working out in between deployments.  When it's up to you and you alone you have to give yourself a kick in the backside and tell yourself to start somewhere.

A good starting point is the NF Rebel Starter Kit and probably the Beginner Body Weight Workout as well.  Depending on your new job give yourself some time in your diary to plan your diet for the week ahead and plan any workouts.  Blank out this time in your diary for you.  If you use a mobile phone set it up in that diary as well so nothing can clash with it.

Start with planning your meals for a week or two, stick to it and/or make any changes you need to and then add in a workout routine the following week and build up gradually until it becomes routine.

Good luck!  Your saves are now saved in the cloud - no memory card required.
