Greetings Nerds!

Six months ago, I moved to a new city, started a new life, and I am sick of old excuses. So, I can't afford a gym membership and my apartment floor space is the size of a yoga mat - I still want to get in better shape!

I'm not sure what my class would be, but I'm hoping that being here on NF will help me figure my path out. I recovered from a dislocated kneecap two years ago after a freak accident in dance class. The recovery process helped me gain muscle I never had before but two years living out of a suitcase, drained that muscle right back out of me and I'd like to get it back.

What do I do, and what do I want? I want to get back into my Stage Combat studies and re-certify! This is going to require muscle gain, building a strong core and some stamina if I want to be able to swing broadswords again.  I'm not here to worry about losing weight or to focus on my fat percentage - the only numbers I'll care about is the number of pounds I can lift. But I need to also be able to do more than just dead-lift but also be able to move. I'd really love to get back into Tai Chi and possibly join a Muggle Quidditch team (Chaser!) again as well.

I've already started making progress. I've cut out fast food from my diet and last six months, I've walked 2 miles every day to/from work rain/snow/shine! But I could use some help figuring out my next steps, how to work out without a gym to work out in, and avoiding future freak injuries.

It's good to be here and be nerdy. Let's get to work!
