The Power Lifter vs. The broken rib

Recommended Posts

I am a power lifter by trade, though I do enjoy BJJ, I do not mind being one of the big guy sin the class, though the last time I was in class I broke a rib when my partner landed on me. I took a deep breath, it hurt but I could, I forced myself to cough, no blood. If you have ever broken a rib, you know they tell you to wrap up, take pain killers, and take it easy. I know, this is not my first broken rib, or broken anything.

The good news, is that while this has been a set back, it has not stopped me from working out, and to my benefit, it has actually helped me innovate my workouts to try new things, new grips, new exercises. In fact, I am still putting up nice sets of weight, just in different ways.

This is my new woot, even if I hurt it again today, I have two days of rest before I go back to the gym. Wish my luck
