eco2pia
Hi all!! Super excited to stumble across this site, it came along at just the right moment. I am facing a full system restore of my life, and the overhaul is sometimes exhausting and brutal. It is awesome to find a community that appears to be all about exactly what I am trying to accomplish, while out here alone in the hinterland, surrounded by Homer Simpson clones. I am actually living in a great place, but unfortunately, the community I have currently surrounded myself with is sorely lacking, yet another place that I am scrapping it all and starting over.I spent most of my life up to this point coasting along, mostly doing the bare minimum. Slowly, over the years, that amounted to one day waking up and hating not just my life but also myself--or at least the self I had become. I kind of let others expectations of me/limitations on me put me in a smaller and smaller box. And then all of a sudden something clicked in my head and I tore that box to hell. Wow. It is so big and pretty out here!Anyway, now I am finally living all the stuff I knew all along to be true and that is what nerd fitness is about right? But it does get lonely as a rebellion of one, so I am really glad I found all of you! Quote Never cheat off the dumb kid. Link to comment
scott82962
Congratulations on that thing in your head clicking. Happened to me when I was 28. And welcome! This is a pretty amazing and supportive group! Quote Link to comment
eco2pia
Thanks! I am kinda slow, it took me almost 9 more years than you to get it. I figure I better get my self in better shape, because I have some years of catching up to do! Since I will graduate college in my 40's, I plan to look 30 and feel 20. Not actually going to be much of a stretch I think, I was blessed with good genes. Quote Never cheat off the dumb kid. Link to comment
CapN_Tommy_Sunshine
Welcome, it is never too late to start a change. I started at 38, and I am going to be 41 this year. I haven't felt this good since my early 20s, and I am still hoping that I am a late bloomer! Quote Link to comment
