AzzurriLady
I've been reading Nerd Fitness for years, but I've just decided to jump into the forums. It's a little scary for me, as my real-life social anxiety follows me online, but here we go. I'm a 32-year old female. I'm currently recovering, mentally and physically, from a miscarriage in the beginning of May. I had been doing crossfit for about a year before that, and had been running for a few years before that, but this past month has been the hardest of my life. I gained about 10 lbs while I was pregnant, and then I gained another 10 in the month since. I even started smoking again after having quit in 2012. Now that I've recovered a little emotionally, I've decided to take the month of June to recover physically. I quit smoking, I quit drinking, and I'm trying to get my diet back on track. Rather than go back to crossfit, I decided to save some cash and just get a regular gym membership, especially since I only liked the weightlifting part of crossfit anyway. So now that I don't have a crossfit coach screaming at me every morning, I'm here for some accountability. Looking forward to diving in! Quote Battle Log ~ Current Challenge Link to comment
KrystalK
I'll be happy to scream at you if you like. I can do it all in caps so you can really feel the volume. HI AZURRILADY! GOOD LUCK AND HAVE FUN. I can 'scream' that at you every day if necessary. Sorry about your miscarriage. I, luckily, never had to deal with anything remotely like that but I know it's emotionally the most horrid thing imaginable. Don't let people get away with saying stupid thoughtless things to you in their misguided attempt to make you feel better. You lost a child. Nothing is more difficult. I'm sorry for your loss. AzzurriLady
Thank you so much! It gets easier every day, and honestly everyone I've told (not many people, admittedly) has been very understanding. Quote Battle Log ~ Current Challenge Link to comment
SpecialSundae
Hey and welcome to the Rebellion! I'm sorry that you've gone through such a rough time and I hope we can help! Look after yourself and we'll come and yell at you to keep you motivated. If there's anything I can do to help with the lifting stuff (or you fancy coming over to the Warriors to hang around with people who just lift shizz) gimme a shout. Sundae 1 Quote Link to comment
