I went for a walk today

Recommended Posts

Why is this a woot?

Because it was snowing.

Old Hugh: I can't walk in this weather. I'll get cold.

New Hugh: Cool! Snow! I'll take the camera and see if I can get a few good shots. I don't have to stay out long, but if I don't go I'll regret it.

I only made a quick 3/4 mile circuit of the decommissioned naval air station that's my current walking place, but I walked fairly quickly because it was snowing and bloody cold. Took me about 15 minutes, but it was 15 minutes well-spent.

Nice one!!

I'm using that excuse as we speak!! But, there's 50mile/hr winds, and some ice pellets thrown in for good measure. Feel like small bullets. BUT. As soon as I hit "post" on this message, it's time for my body weight circuits!! Still on beginner, and I'm psyching myself up to do 3 full circuits for the first time! I've been solid at 2 circuits last couple times, so here goes!!

Looks like you have a great spot to walk. Nice!

Never think of pain or danger or enemies a moment longer than is necessary to fight them. -Ayn Rand

Amongst those less skilled you can see all this energy escaping through contorted faces, gritted teeth and tight shoulders that consume huge

amounts of effort but contribute nothing to achieving the task.
