Trying to make this fitness thing work and failing reapeatedly

Welcome to the rebellion

If you havn't been working out for a long time i suggest you start slowly, ie with the simple ones.Early burnouts are one main reason for failures.

Make a program plan or select a ready-made work out from the net. There are many in NF itself. I recently came across this in the forums yesterday, It looked good

Always do the workouts you enjoy, the lack of fun  is another reason people drop out

In the beginning it's more important to build some habits rather than achieving a certain fitness goal. So if you have problems getting from collecting underpants to using them, start simple: Walk every day for 15 minutes instead of planning complex jogging schedules. Do bodyweight training at home instead of subscribing to a gym and not going there.

 

And, as ajoylucid said: Do what you enjoy! Not what you think is "right".

The impediment to action advances action. What stands in the way becomes the way.
