Bob-gar
Hey all,My name is Bobby. I'm a computer programmer and information security enthusiast. Basically, a South Texas geek, born and raised. I grew up the chubby, but athletic kid. Played little league baseball for years and played basketball every morning before school up through middle school. I was also always the "screw this running crap" kid. Never ran in gym class, hell I never even took gym class in high school (band geek). After graduating high school, I fell into a rut and didn't really have much direction. I went through a period of eating two McDonald's double cheese burgers daily for lunch and quickly added on the pounds. That followed by a dead end job at Domino's Pizza (hey, free pizza right?) didn't help either. I had seen my brother transform using the weight watchers method successfully, but that still wasn't the kick in the pants I had needed. Fast forward a few years, I'd married my best friend and we've decided to take this journey together. A few years before our marriage, in fact before we were even dating, we got into our passion of mountain biking together. More than anything, we love to ride together. However both of use being over weight, our abilities were heavily limited. Shortly before our wedding, we decided to get a trainer at our gym and let him kick our asses. Having successfully worked with him for a few weeks, this motivated us and ignited our passion for a healthy, wholesome lifestyle. Currently, we are stronger and healthier than we've ever been in our lives. We both hit a plateau about 3 weeks ago and had been struggling to move forward. Our trainer had previously mentioned to us this thing called the "paleo diet". I wasn't convinced, being highly skeptical of these "gimmick" diets you hear about. It wasn't until I talked to a co-worker who told me about this website that I got up and started doing the research. We're both now about 4 days into paleo, and it has definitely made a difference. We're off the plateau and we are beginning to take our workouts to a new level. We're both implementing some of the lessons and techniques on this website into our routines and looking forward to big things in our near future. I look forward to learning from you all and hopefully someday we can get a group bike ride togetherThanks!exit(0); Quote "Being stronger will make you better in every conceivable aspect of your life, except of course being weaker."
