MuffinTop Posted November 8, 2016 Report Share Posted November 8, 2016 Hello! I came across NF some three or four years ago when I hit 40 and (belatedly) addressed my fitness. I joined a gym for the first time, I started to run for the first time. So far, so awesome. Everything was going swimmingly until I got too enthusiastic on some stupid gym machine, and I ended up with chronic lower back pain. I cancelled the gym membership, I stopped running, I put all the weight back on, and didn't feel so awesome any more. But things are looking up. I'm back in the gym, tracking my diet, and have shed almost a stone. I'm here because gaining strength is more important than losing the pounds... although I'd really like to get back into some old clothes. But what I would really love, even more than that, is to be able to do a push-up. Looking forward to restarting my journey... 1 Quote Link to comment
