Ravenstar
Hi all Wanted to say hello. I'm a 57 year old man who needs to get back into shape. I already follow a primal diet though I need to cut out some sugar. First step is to start the basic exercise routine 3 x per week. I'm going to start with just one run through and build up. I have a chronic knee problem but if I work up to it slowly I'll be OK. After that the focus will be on simplifying my life so there is time for the things I want to do. Wish me luck! Elastigirl
Good luck! I'm 51, so I love to see older Rebels join the Rebellion. I recommend the book Deskbound by Kelly Starrett. He has lots of mobility exercises and recommendations for dealing with chronic pain. 1 Quote Wisdom 22.5 Dexterity 13 Charisma 15 Strength 21 Constitution-13 "Love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your strength, and with all your mind' Luke 10; 27 Link to comment
Ravenstar
I'm pretty mobile. Just out of shape. We run a B&B, keep goats and make cheese so I need to be physically able, I just want to turn that into physically"fit"! Phase two will be trying to spend less time making a living and more time having a life. Quote Link to comment
Elastigirl
That sounds really fun. I could see where it could be super time consuming though. With the B and B are you busy all year or just seasonally? Ravenstar
Really seasonal with the B&B. May to September, nobody comes here in the Winter! We cut the Goats right back this year and will only be keeping 6 over the Winter. 1 Quote Link to comment
