Done properly deadlift is a great exercise, it works your whole body and is great for your back but.... If it's not done properly it can lead to injury, especially if there's a lot of weight involved. On the plus side, how much you can lift depends on your form so if you can lift 100kg with poor form then just think how much you will be able to lift once you get your form right! ps. I'm assuming you know to work on getting your form right with lower weights before starting to increase the numbers? And don't lift something if you can't lift it with good form, to avoid injury.
