rianredd1088 Posted March 15, 2012 Report Share Posted March 15, 2012 Gents, For those of you that don't know, I recently started the Rebel Fitness Guide (almost two-weeks now). I had a question on how to approach the overhead dumbbell press. To be honest, this is the hardest exercise for me. I AM JUST SO WEAK! When I first tried it, I did 25ibs (in each hand) and managed to pump out 2X15 and 2X10. My second time around, I only managed to pump out 2X5 and, dropping the weight to 20ibs, managed 2X8. Should I drop the amount of weight I'm trying? Could it be that I'm just wearing myself out?Ryan Quote Link to comment

Endurance issues will go away on their own over time.However are you benching/doing a pushups before the OHP? Doing so will significantly impact your OHP #'s. It isn't a bad thing,; just something to be aware of, benching and/or pushups will tire your triceps, triceps are are some of the primary muscles used the OHP.Low reps is fine.
