Hi,

Newbie here. My sister suggested NF as a basis for getting back in shape, so I thought I'd try out the forum too.

Typical cardio junkie throughout my 20s, though I did some strength training as well back then. Grad school happened + marriage, and I really slacked off. I'm now in my late 30s with no strength to speak of. Weight hovers just around the upper BMI limit for healthy. I'd like to lose fat weight, but equally important to start building muscle now to make my 40s and 50s better in quality of living.

 

My nerd qualifications fall in with my job (molecular biologist) and random sci-fi likes, though I'm rarely a dedicated tv series follower.
