unicornassassin Posted March 25, 2012 Report Share Posted March 25, 2012 -Did a yoga session basically focusing on hamstrings, and I've noticed a lot of improvement. When I'm sitting I can bring my leg up all the way to my chest with the knee only slightly bent. And my standing split is at about 110-20 degrees!.-I have visible hamstrings. I used to have 'banana legs' and people have remarked on my lack of hamstrings. It's weird, because I ride my bike and have for like, 15 years, everywhere so I don't know how that was possible. -Just finished a solitary meditation retreat where I meditated 5 to 8 hours a day. WOOOOOOT because that was challenging, but very rewarding. unicornassassin Posted March 26, 2012 Author Report Share Posted March 26, 2012 I really like forward fold. Not as much of a fan of sitting forward bend because sometimes it hurts my back a bit. Pyramid is great for the hamstrings, I think. I stretch my hamstrings a lot when I'm sitting watching tv. So I think that helps, too. I'm incredibly hamstring and leg focused as of late. There were times that I found myself thinking very unmeditatorly things, but I stayed on my cushion, and always went back to my breath. It was great, I'm so grateful for the opportunity.
