Honey, Cinnamon and Pepitas - notes.

Just a few things I do almost everyday, that I think are great ideas....Please do some googling, as I am sure I won't hit all the points here.

Honey! - a great thing before a workout. 1 tsp is all you need to give that push you need to get through a really tough workout.

I usually do 1tsp before a workout, and 1 tsp afterwards in a protein shake.

There is also a lot of info as honey as an immune system booster, and an bacteria fighter.

I go for a local non-pasturized kind. no super market brands, god knows what's in them.

Cinnamon! I do a 1 tsp every day in my morning breakfast shake. It helps to stabilize your blood sugar - slows the rate at which the stomach empties after meals, reducing the rise in blood sugar after eating.

Also has anti-microbial and immune system awesomeness. I never got sick this winter, I attribute 70% of that to my cinnamon and honey intake.

Pepitas! - These little wonders pack an awesome protein punch. (raw, unroasted pumpkin seeds) The one I buy says 18 grams per 1/4 cup, although online sources say 10grams, but either way, amazing.

Pepitas also have anti-inflammatory benefits and cholesterol lowering properties. (as does cinnamon).

do not buy roasted however, the high temp roasting destroys the beneficial oils.
