Corbab Posted March 27, 2012 Report Share Posted March 27, 2012 Today my team got our lineups for our first race, and I'll be stroking the first varsity 4+. That will likely make no sense to anyone who hasn't been on a crew, but the stroke sets the rate and ratio for the rest of the boat to follow, so it's a pretty big job. One of my challenge goals was to make the V1 boat, but I never thought I'd be sitting in stroke seat. All the boat placements were based on only a week of practice, so my winter workouts paid off and I was able to make a good impression in a few days in iffy boats. Now for that trophy...
