JupiterStar
So, in January I started attending aerial circus and stunt classes, because having chronically low platelets means that any bump or cut or bruise looks AWFUL and doesn't stop bleeding forever and ever, and sometimes that can make my platelets plummet more, so another ITP sufferer suggested taking a class where I learn how to fall and bang myself up with a minimum of bruises and injury so that when it happens in regular life, I don't trigger a platelet crash just by falling wrong on the stairs. I really loved it but during March I got stumped with the mermaid pose. I just couldn't seem to get my hips rotating enough to get it right. I ended up with fist-sized bruises every lesson but still couldn't get it right. But today, it clicked! Not just once, either, but multiple times! I'm a flying out-of-water mermaid! YAY!!!! (So now, I can finally move on to something newer again, too, since my teacher won't add anything til I can get each move right, if not pretty. That pose is pretty much impossible to do without looking pretty, though ) Behold, my posing and awesome workout shirt!: (Okay, so you can't really see that Pikachu is lifting Evees. Still. Matches the new Pokeball gym bag? Also, can anyone figure out where my foot went?) 1 Quote Link to comment

TheRealBlackWidow
Ooh, that is pretty! Congratulations! That does look really difficult. I'm sure you're super proud of yourself! 1 Quote "Nothing lasts forever." ~Natasha Romanoff~ "Such is the nature of evil. Out there in the vast ignorance of the world it festers and spreads. A shadow that grows in the dark. A sleepless malice as black as the oncoming wall of night. So it ever was. So will it always be. In time all foul things come forth." ~Thranduil~ "No matter who we are, no matter what our circumstances, our feelings and emotions are universal. And music has always been a great way to make people aware of that connection. It can help you open up a part of yourself and express feelings you didn't know you were feeling. It's risky to let that happen. But it's a risk you have to take-- because only then will you find you're not alone." ~Josh Groban~ "Those who are the happiest, never did have everything. But rather they are thankful for everything they do have." ~Anonymous~ Link to comment
