Various calculators and ranking sites suggested that I should go faster based on my 5K/10K times, but given that the furthest I have ever raced is 10K, I was chuffed to be able to finish it at a quick pace and even outsprint a few people at the finish. Next one in September - hoping to drop my time under 1:44. Link to comment

I did this last year and (to be fair, I was just out of hospital) felt horribly unfit as I staggered around in 61:31. Today I did it in 45:12. What a difference a year makes. Link to comment
