Oogiem
Sounds great! Have you ever done a Ravelympics before? I haven't and I'm not sure what exactly we're supposed to do...tag our projects in our queue?OK We are officially Team Nerd Fitness for the Ravelympics 2012. Our Team thread is in the main village, join the group Ravelympics 2012 to see and post there. We'll also be discussing the whole thing in the Rebels on Ravelry group.the FAQ about how to enter and work on events is herehttp://www.ravelry.com/discuss/ravelympics-2012/2092752/1-25Our tag for noting projects is teamnf2012The rules for each "event" vary and all are posted in the google doc mentioned in the events thread in the Ravelympics 2012 group herehttp://www.ravelry.com/groups/ravelympics-2012Generally the rules are a mass cast on during the Olympic Opening ceremonies, the goal is to start and finish projects during the Olympics. There are a few events for hibernated projects and I think the weaving allows you to have warped the loom first but in general it's all new stuff. There are tags to put in for each project you enter. No rules on how many projects in each event I don't think, I haven't checked all the rules yet, they do vary some from time to time. Usually you can enter as many events as you wish but often projects can't be entered in multiple events with a few exceptions. Here ais the list of events and short form ruleshttp://www.ravelry.com/groups/ravelympics-2012/pages/EVENTS-2012Currently I'm considering entering a bunch of events but haven't decided for sure yet. Problem is I have project ideas I want to do in maybe half the events but I know from competing before that I get bogged down and often don't finish them. Oogiem
Nerds: I had a bunch of projects saved but my ravelry account got deleted. And I need help with knitting...specifically decreasing on a hat.2 suggestions:Contact Casey and ask about the account being deleted. It may just be in hiatus for a bit and you can get it all back. What sort of hat? I knit a lot of hats, I can probably help with the decreases.Edited, Just realized you can't easily contact Casey w/o a Ravelry account and other people are also reporting lost accounts. If you want togive me your Ravelry username (but not password) I'll look into it. Oogie McGuire Black Sheep Shepherdess STR 4.25 | DEX 4.5 | STA 3.75 | CON 3 | WIS 4.75 | CHA 1 Link to comment

CalvinHobbes
I created a new Ravelry account so hopefully this one sticks around. The hat is a cable pattern--fairly simple until the decreases. I guess my issue is decreasing while continuing the cable pattern--it looks strange it looks awesome until I decrease... Link to comment
