Reenzo
My wife and I are heading to the Crescent City mid-September. Woot! It is our second trip, we did our 10 yr anniversary last year (same time of year), loved it (OMG the FOOD!), and had planned to go again this year. The plan was a bit nebulous (i.e. was more an idea than a plan), until I found out I have 140k Thank You (from Citi) points expiring on 9/30/12 (yikes!) So today we jumped on Southwest, and lo and behold, they're having a sale! Round trip for the two of us from Tampa, $195. With points our stay at the Royal Sonesta in a side street (Bienville/Conti) for five days will be free (not counting the mini-bar, restaurant, etc).By this time of year, I should be about where I need to be (fitness-wise) to be in the beginning of my Parkour training. So, in keeping with my NF goals and plans, any advice folks can give on good places to exercise and train will be MUCH appreciated! Also, we did a lot of foodie type stuff last time and are thinking of doing a couple touristy jaunts. So more ideas, more ideas! Thanks in advance! Link to comment
Morrigainz
Don't have any exercise suggestions, but DAMN! That's awesome!!We did a ghost walk when we were there that was pretty cool, as well as a cemetery tour. This is more of a foodie thing, but did you do the Commander's Palace for their jazz brunch? It was excellent. Level ? Half-Dwarf/Half-Amazon Warrior STR:21.25 STA:15 DEX: 10.95 CON: 14 WIS:15.5 CHA:17 SWOLE BUCKS: 1 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 Link to comment
Max Power
First off, new Orleans is never free, I always blow a lot of money there haha! There are a couple of old plantations in the area that are really cool to tour. Oak Alley is somewhat famous, and Laura plantation is very interesting, I learned a lot about creole life there. The aquarium in the area is pretty cool too. Oh and there is a bad A little cigar bar on canal street if you're into that sort of thing haha!As for exercising, it's never been a big concern of mine while I was in NO, sorry The path to Swolehalla is paved with a lot of Swolehate, and you won't get there without being Swole of Spirit too. We also ate at Brennan's, which was totally crazy $$$ for brunch. Thanks for the ideas on the plantation & ghost/cemetery tours. I had forgotten about the spooky opportunities, since we traveled completely on our stomachs last time, lol! Link to comment

Don't waste your time or money. Dude, we walked all over that place and ate like kings, KINGS, I tell you! And I lost 5 pounds. Redfish stuffed with shrimp. Sauteed crab claws. Link to comment
