I had been having so much success with gaining weight and controlling my ulcerative colitis with a paleo diet. Unfortunately shortly after my latest 6 week challenge I started back up to school and was under a ton of stress and my eating suffered. Needless to say I got extremely sick and lost over 20 pounds (all that hard work gaining weight for nothing I suppose), I got a new doctor, new meds and I'm on the road to recovery. Don't think I ever set it as that! But once a firefighter always a firefighter. elefevers Posted January 1, 2013 Author Report Share Posted January 1, 2013 I was doing a 5x5 routine with heavy lifts with lots of eating with a sprint routine before I got sick. I'm so out of shape now, I'm just doing some body weight to get conditioned so I can get into the gym without hurting myself. I'm not going to be doing Paleo right off either this time. While I'm on heavy duty medication I'm going to try to eat as much as possible then just cut later. I was down to 118 pounds when I went to the hospital -- I had hit 140 at my most.
