Holy crap I think I'm happy

Recommended Posts

I was a sad panda, NF. But ever since I started eating right and exercising things have been different. I can sleep right, I can feel right. No more internet until 8am, no pointlessly wasting money on games I'll never play just to pass the time, no watching porn just because there was nothing to do. I've accomplished more in the past three weeks than I have in three years. There's a renewed love for things I long stopped caring about. Started applying for work, and soon I might even have the balls to go out and talk to people. Maybe even ask a girl out, but let's not get crazy here.

All this in a matter of weeks! I'm excited for what the future will bring now, instead of dreading what the godless void of endless night will do to me next :3

It seems like the lovable mutt, a person needs to be walked everyday (otherwise they'll want to hump everything).

That's great to hear.

Just keep the good work up and allow yourself a bad day here and there, but keep your hard work up and get out of the house and meet some people, show the world how great and passionate nerds are!

I imagined diving through a pub window and shouting 'HAI GUYS LETS TALK BOUT STARGATE'. But no, I played it non-psycho to great effect! Making new friends just by putting myself out there, and my old friends are happy to have me back (a month ago I'd actually be surprised by that).

All because of lying face down screaming 'one more pushup' into the carpet.

I have started an ended many conversations with women by asking if they were into sci-fi. I don't recommend it

If the non nerdy girls find out about the nerdiness naturally then they tend to find it endearing.

"Tips on how to trick non nerdy girls into liking you" is brought to you by Irish Oisin!

Screaming "one more" is what it's all about!

Go BIG, or go home.

That's awesome man! When you start putting yourself out to meet people, just remember that almost anyone can be won over by a genuine smile and "Hi, how are you?" And you can break the ice with almost anyone by finding common ground, even if it is just something simple as liking the band their shirt has. It sounds like you're on the right track though. Good luck and let us all know how it goes!
