Hey everyone!

I've never really been part of a forum before, I've only ever lurked. I've always wanted to join one but never did for various reasons. So this feels a little weird to be posting but I also hope this can be my online home!

I'm pretty pumped to be a new recruit in the rebellion. I've always been a nerd, grew up initially watching my brother play video games and then playing them myself. I also now am motivated to level up my fitness. I've been weight lifting for almost a year now and I've also been doing a couch to 10k program. My fat loss and fitness progress hasn't been as much good as it could be so starting on July 13th I will be meeting once a month with a great personal trainer who will be tracking my progress and adjusting my exercise and diet as needed. I know this isn't required to get where I want to be but I'm really just looking forward to taking all of the guess work out.

My goals are to lose body fat (down to 20%), gain muscle and strength (I'd like to be able to do even one unassisted pull-up), and run a 5K (without feeling like it was the worst day of my life).

Just wanted to say welcome to the rebellion!

Doing a full pull up is one of my dreams too. I never even tried one before I found NF, maybe because it was always assumed that girls don't have to do them. At least among the people I know.
