jediokie Posted July 16, 2013 Report Share Posted July 16, 2013 Congrats on the PR's. It's very hard to get your bench up compared to squats and deads. I'd say play around with some routines until you find one that works and then work the spit out of it. For me it was 5/3/1, but I know a lot of guys that swear by 5x5s, I even know one crazy guy that does 10x10's but he's a genetic freak. Quote My workout log Link to comment

I had some success on Bill Starr's 5x5 which is low volume, high intensity, but it really beat me up after awhile. I'm trying Texas Method now and Smolov Jr. in the next few months, so we'll see how those work out. Like jediokie said, gotta find what works for you.
