I was also a guest on SteamGeeks, the League of Steam's podcast. My best friend does cosplay, and I've just knitted her a pair of elbow length fingerless gloves to go with her steampunk outfit. I loved both of the Tim Powers novels that I read (Anubis Gates and On Stranger Tides) and I can't wait to read more. Neither of those are Victorian, but they are historical sci-fi. Wild Wild West was a turd, the new Sherlock Holmes movies are kind of trying, maybe and I don't think anybody watched Jonah Hex. Remember Deadlands, from the 90s? She got interested due to seeing some outfits for Halloween and wanting to now make her own and I've been randomly interested in trying to get into the stuff for a few years as well.
