allisen79
Hi I'm new. I found this web site last night when searching for more info on the Paleo diet after watching a cooking show. I am not looking to diet JUST to lose weight. But to be healthy and happy, have more energy, and let's be honest. I want to look better. Which I think happens when you are healthy. So I'm here. Now what? I know myself well enough to know as a single mom and a full time career person, plus being one of those people who is always busy, I will not work out every single day. What do you suggest. I can do small routines at work on my lunch hour, I have a treadmill, but I really want to lift weight and/or strength train at home. TYIA! A Quote Link to comment
Morrigainz
Hey! Welcome to the Rebellion! You can start with the Beginner's Bodyweight Workout (or some variation thereof). It's something you can do in 15 minutes in your home. I believe it's posted on Steve's blog. Start with doing that 2-3x a week and build from there. Feel free to poke around the forums and ask any questions you have! If you're interested in strength training/lifting heavy things, check out the Warriors' Guild. If you're more interested in bodyweight training, you might be more suited to the Assassins. Quote Level ? lawrencep93
Start a journal or challenge, post starting weight and stats, diet and stuff in it. Make yourself accountable to everyone you know. Improve diet (80-90% of results) and do some sort of weight training (10-20%) but also to maintain lean muscle mass which means you will look better when you get skinnier.
