Hello you can call me Big Red, its a generic nick name that I am sure lots of people have but I have adopted it as my own, I am 6'4" and have red hair, and currently a fairly large red goatee/beard that I am growing out so I can braid it.  I love video games (Elder Scrolls Series is my absolute favorite, cant get enough of the lore), I used to watch anime, and I used to attend LARP events, I am a bit less of a nerd than I used to be but I can tell this is where I need to be for this journey.

I am currently hovering around 270lbs, and I would guess somewhere in the mid to upper 20%s for body fat % but I don't know for sure.  I have dieted and exercised in the past and have been fairly healthy, I believe my lowest was 230 and I held that for a while, but I have in the past 2-3 years become very complacent and stopped eating healthy.  About 2 years ago I had my "best friend" screw me out of well over $6k and caused me to live off of free food, my room mate worked at a pizza hut delivering so he brought left overs and mistake orders home every day, and my co worker would buy me lunch most days but that was often fast food so that he wouldn't have to spend much since he was being nice enough to feed me.  Last spring in April I decided I had enough of my life and have made several big changes in a positive direction, I haven't used a tobacco product at all since April 22 (I was at 1-2 packs a day depending on what I was doing that day), I got a second job so I can afford better food and cut out 95% of the fast food from my diet, stopped eating pizza except for once a week, and started cleaning up my appearance and life.

So here we are now, December, It has been a bit over 6 months since I started and I am feeling a lot better about life, I am on my feet again and mostly out of the debt I had fallen into, but still wanting more improvements, I am not satisfied with how I look or how out of shape I feel.  Then the other day I found a post on my wall of "25 great free sites" or something along those lines and one of them was nerd fitness, I spent the rest of the day reading articles and re-igniting the spark for being healthy.

I started the Paleo trasition yesterday, seems to be going well but its 2 days in so its a bit early to tell haha, It makes sense to me and I feel it is a diet I not only can follow but WILL follow.  As the month moves forward I will start to add in the beginner exercises and get back to feeling strong and healthy.  At this point my goal is to be able to do the 300 work out without trouble, Since I can't even do 1 pull up at this point I have a ways to go but you've gotta start somewhere!
