Fitness by Imperial Decree

Recommended Posts

Let this proclamation go forth to the Nerd Fitness Rebellion,

As Rome is beset on all sides by enemies, whether it is barbaric tribes of untamed Germania, insidious Parthians or ungrateful slaves in rebellion against their rightful masters, it is imperative that each soldier be of the utmost physical and mental state. Therefore, by Imperial decree, Iron Centurion shall continue his training in the physical and mental arts.

At V'VII"  (5' 7")he is short by today's standards, though tall for a Roman, equal in height of our great predecessar Gaius Julius Caesar.

His weight is CLX (160) pounds, and maintains a bodyfat is around XV (15)%.

At XXVII (27) years old he is in prime health for his training to continue.

As a loyal soldier, he must be physically well rounded. He must be strong enough to withstand the shock charge of barbarian hordes, requiring tremendous strength to maintain the shield wall. Therefore, he shall endevor the train III (3) tImes a week, lifting heavily, imporving his deadlift to CD (400) pounds and his benchpress to CCC (300) pounds. Furthermore, he shall also run III (3) times a week, as a soldier's life revolves around constant marching and a exhausted soldier is a detriment to the empire. Though a soldier's daily ration usually consists of bread, Iron Centurion shall recieve a speciall dispensation allowing him to forgo traditional meals in favor of "paleo" foods, as our distant ancestors ate. Furthermore, he will participate in the races held by the Spartans, completing the "Trifecta," to ensure that the subject peoples of Greece know their place under Roman rule.

Iron Centurion shall also read L (50) books over the year, as his mental health is as vital to the success of the Empire. He may require suggestions in the fantasy and science fiction genres to accomplish this goal.

Therfore, let it be by Imperial decree that the members of the Nerd Fitness Rebellion shall assist him in accomplishing these goals. Make your knowledge and support avalible to him, and he will make his own knowledge and ability avalible for others in their own quests.

With tremendous gratitude from the Emperor.
