My first promotion!

Hello all!  A little over a month ago I mustered up my 20 seconds of courage and applied for a promotion at my job at Home Depot.  It was for a position I had unofficially filled (as much as I could possibly do, anyway), and it was to the point where my fellow cashiers were recommending me to management, but I had been hesitant to apply.  As the topic title says my 20 seconds (well, more like 20 minutes as the application took forever) paid off and I have been working my new position for the last week!  

 

On another woot note, my coworkers have been noticing my efforts from the gym!  I recently focused my efforts from the occasional cardio workout to strength training, and have now received several compliments (despite seeing a rising number on the scale).  All of this has inspired me to begin lifting heavy and tackling deadlifts!  Wish me luck!

Congratulations! Since you just started weight training the scale may say you are gaining but it is most likely muscle! Muscle is good!
