EAT, EAT, EAT, REPEAT

Recommended Posts

Salutations interwebs,

For a long time I've been a a buffet wrecking ball. Don't get me wrong I am a pretty active guy, or at least try to be. I go through spurts of being gym active, always free weights, decent technique and I sure do enjoy it. I play Rugby, I've completed oxfam trailwalker and tough mudder etcetera but gosh darn have I got bad eating habits.

I'm 185cm (6'1") and am currently topping in the scales at 128kg (282lbs).  post-26961-0-27189200-1392378252_thumb.j

I've always been a bigger fella but over the last few years I have really stacked on the weight and am much bigger then I would like to be.  I miss being quick on my feet, it is really starting to have a negative impact on my on field performance in sports, and my weight is holding me back from being able to complete my dream of getting my AFF skydiving certification (100kg "max").

I eat quite healthily, I don't drink any liquid calories and never really have, but I just eat a lot. All the time.  For instance I will often make a big dinner, in the thoughts of taking it the next day for lunch and maybe even having some for tomorrows nights dinner, and I will often eat it all in one night. I know it's a days worth of calories but if anything the frustration only leads me to do it more. An evil cycle.

A guy from my Rugby team (could even be on this here forum) was telling me the other day about intermittent fasting. A quick google search led me to these here pages and I thought this could be the answer. Still eat a big meal or two, but just skip the other. I have in the past always found that I function best when skipping breakfast, but would always worry about missing the "most important" meal of the day.

My goals are to drop weight, retain strength (or get stronger) and to build positive eating habits that will allow me to look and feel good, and operate at my peak.

I am looking forward to being a reasonably active member of the forums, and sharing my trials and tribulations with you all.

Welcome! As Silver indicated, the stats are related to the six-week challenges that NF hosts. You can find more about creating a character here:

About accumulating points here:

And basic challenge instructions here:

We're just finishing off the current six-week challenge, and I think the next one will start in about a week or so.

Good luck with your goals! Hope you find what you're looking for here.

Thanks for the links Prairie, and the words of support from you all.

I'm pretty keen to start my first 6 week challenge, I'm all ready to do some grinding and get some sweet stats!
