Guzzi
Please note that I DID NOT make a smart-ass Guzzi/Drafty Kilt remark. Thank you Yeah, you have no idea how tempted I was either... Really people, you shouldn't post stuff like that when you know I'm around. Quote Make Life Rue The Day Turning back the clock Recipe book 14 Life is far too short to take seriously Link to comment
Frost of the Gloaming
My local grocery store just put in a growler filling station so I'm on a quest to try and sample as many New York/Vermont brewed beers one growler at a time so far I've had Lake Placid Ubu Ale, which not an IPA, but has a nice dark amber color and finishes smoothIthaca Flower Power IPA, which was a nice crisp hoppy IPA with out it being overboard on the hopsSamuel Adams Cold Snap which is a Witbier, which admittingly I don't drink a lot of but I still thought was pretty goodSwitchback Ale, which was the first time I bought filled the growler, but it was pretty good from what I remember Quote Between a rock and a hard place, use our finger nails to climb, it's all we know.......... Obitim
I'm not normally a fan of fruit beers, but when I was in Belgium I had a strawberry one and a cherry one and they were superb. Love Timmermans and all that...this one was awful! Also, if you;re in Yorkshire, try the Saltaire Raspberry Blonde, very tasty! Quote Link to comment
Guzzi
I like a good framboise myself. Morrisons stock a nice one, can't remember the name though... Found it!!!!!It's in the trolley now! Obitim
That Bacchus stuff is really nice too! Even the other half will drink it! Although I think that Jay's method is much more fun Quote Link to comment
Guzzi
Although I think that Jay's method is much more funYeah, I'm down with that too Damn you people and all your talk of beer! I'm trying to stay off the empty calories and somehow ended up leaving Morrisons with 6 different bottles of the stuff. Anyone tried any of the beers from the Ringwood Brewery? I bought a couple of them (Boon Doogle and Forty Niner) based purely on the fact that their logo is a Wild Boar. Same as the Campbell crest Quote Make Life Rue The Day Turning back the clock Recipe book 14 Life is far too short to take seriously Link to comment

Obitim
Well...I found out today that the best drink fro booze vs calories is sparkling wine:http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/wonkblog/wp/2014/03/28/the-wonkblog-guide-to-efficient-drinking/ Thought this was the best place to put this! 1 Quote Link to comment
JCDenton
I've been enjoying a bit of red wine now and then. Mostly for the health benefits, wink wink nudge nudge. Half a bottle (750mL) is enough to get a good buzz, but not so drunk that i can't go for a walk at night. Quote Link to comment
