BJJ team trials, didn't notice at the time but I'd badly gi burned my elbows, and by gi burn I mean flayed.  Probably won't be joining the team if this is their idea of approproiate conditioning.

On the plus side, I can do 30 clapping push ups faster than some fit young men.

So... awkward comment time.  I loaded up this thread and saw the pic of your elbows.  First thought was that I was looking at something VERY NSFW.  Took me a second to realize what was going on. 

My elbows are scabbing up now.  So they are not safe for breakfast, lunch or dinner viewing.

Oh wow, that does look well dodge when you scroll past quickly.

Monday:

Squat warm up: 20x2x5, 60x5, 80x3, 100x3, 60x3x3
Squat Equipped: 100x2, 120x1, 140x1, 155x1 - had to put the old suit on as I couldn't get back into my new one.  Weight gain and water are the most likely culprit
Squat: 95x3x5
Bench: 20x5, 40x5, 60x3, 67.5x3, 72.5x3, 75x3, 77.5x3, 65x3x5
Assistance: DB Row and Overhead Lunges

After fannying about changing suits for an hour I didn't really have it in me to try and hit 160+ tonight.

Tuesday:

Paused Deadlift: 60x5, 80x5, 90x5x5
Snatch: 15x2x8, 25x4x3, 35x5x3 - starting to get my line again but having to pull slowly so I can exaggerate the tripple extension
Paused Front Squat: 35x5, 60x5, 67.5x5x5
Assistance: inverted row, push up, pull up, barbell roll out

No footage as phone is dead and not much to see any way.

They've uploaded the women's group from GBPF nationals to youtube.  I'm glad I've started to put weight back on my legs as I'm going to need it at the European equipped at the start of May.

Jerk: 25x5, 35x3, 42x3, 47x3x3, 49x3x3 - bicep felt a bit tweaky and I didn't want to risk popping it

Assistance: renegade rows & planks

Monday:

Equipped Squat: 100x3, 120x3, 140x1, 150x1, 160x1 - new suit and getting no where near parallel, freaking out a bit with the tight suit during walk out so just going to sugar my old suit for the euros.

Squat: 80x5, 90x5, 100x5, 150x5x2

Bench: 20x5, 40x5, 60x3, 70x3, 75x3, 80x3, 70x5x3

Assistance: dumbbell row & overhead lunge

Have some powerlifters not powerlifting.

Snatch: 15x8, 25x3x2, 35x3x3, 37x3x5 - keeping things light so I can work on hitting full extension
Paused Frontsquat: 35x5, 60x5, 70x5x5
Assistance: inverted row, push up, pull ups, hanging leg raises.



Thursday:

Squat: 102.5x5x5 - actually feeling like I can start ramping the weight up again... just in time for the worlds.
Bench Warm up: 20x5, 40x4, 60x3, 70x1
Equipped Bench: 85x2, 95x2, 105x1, 110x1, 115x1 - made of not touching and bad lines
Paused Bench: 65x5x5
Pull-ups: 5,4,3,3,3

Bent over Row: 40x5x3, 50x5, 40x5

Stuck on the old suits so I can get openers.  A little bit of extra weight has gone a long way, 160kg was super fast and that was with "Louise" wraps, so may need to adjust for proper knee wraps next week.  Bench is a bit unstable and hard to get down, but it will pass.

Squat: 160kg, 170kg, 175kg - New gb and commonwealth record

Bench: 92.5kg, 97.5kg, 102.5kg

Deadlift: 157.5kg, 167.5kg, 170kg - better to hold 4th place than take a massive risk for bronze, would have needed 180kg

Yeah, I keep forgetting the amount of progress I've made equipped in the last year. I'm starting to be able to switch on the technical differences between classic now.

Friday:

SO I've been busy with life stuff since Germany.  Still training hard and hoping to pull decent lifts out the bag in three weeks.

I've been up to a lot of self promotion stuff in the run up to the world classic.  Let a good bench workshop with the guys at TDT and wrote a blog post with Tom.

The BJJ guys are all now well aware of what I get up to off the mat.  Thank god they've still not got the whole story for when the gym starts it's MMA program.  Oh and some throws for ippon, which only really counted in my head, they're just good take downs to every one else.

I have been absentish due to lack of internet and various other issues that were super urgent.

I've still been training for the IPF classic though.  Deadlift is top seekrit, but bench and squat openers are looking back at a healthy 130/80 respectively.  This could make the world classic both the most exciting and disappointing for me so far.

Sure you are going to kick ass like always.  What weight class you going with?  I'm assuming 57kg based on what you and Sundae have been saying.  As for watching live...

IPF are pretty good at getting the replays up on youtube in a speedy manner.  Should have mentioned it's 11am Friday.
