Khalida
Hey friends, Newb here! Believe it or not, I'm here because I discovered Nerd Fitness on Reddit, in the Loseit board. I LOVE the ideas and philosophies of this site and I'm really excited to begin this journey back to getting healthy, happy and a good weight for me. Looking hot would also be an awesome fringe benefit! A bit about me, I'm a 32 year old female, from the beautiful city of Vancouver, Canada. My nerd-loves include gaming, reading, spending way too much time on Pinterest and Reddit, and crafting. I work in HR, and I pretty much sit at a desk all day. Exciting! I've signed up for the Academy and chose the Assassin as my class. I'm chomping at the bit to get going on the challenges! I've started and stopped the whole fitness/weight loss thing a bunch of times and I'm so desperate for this to be the last time. I want this to be the success story of my life. I've suffered from some pretty serious health issues, and I'm sure poor diet and a sedentary lifestyle have helped shape that significantly But, not dwelling on the negatives of the past, I'm looking ahead to a brighter (fitter) future! Thanks for having me here! 1 Quote #Goal Weight: 160lbs 0%0% "You can't rush something you want to last forever." Satyr AssassinCurrent Stats: Height: 5'8 Weight: 230lbs Battle Log Link to comment
TMedina
Welcome to the madhouse. Just remember that every step you take forward is a step in the right direction, big or small. And the occasional slip and stumble along the way is expected. So be patient. 1 Quote Imaginary Human Male Dilettante Trainer, Level 1 Spoiler How to: Add the status bar to my signature How to: Spruce up your profile Where to start: General Fitness questions How to: Declutter your life, a minimalism thread How to: Slay your budgeting woes (or at least, start the quest) Link to comment
Khalida
Thanks TMedina! Slow and steady is really something I have to force myself to remember and adjust to. I'm trying to avoid the "too much, too soon" mentality that has caused me to fail before! Quote #Goal Weight: 160lbs 0%0% "You can't rush something you want to last forever."
