Long Time Lurker, First Time Poster

Hello everyone,

 

I am Sam, and after reading NF for the last two years, I finally decided it was time to suck it up and participate.  That said, I can honestly that I haven't much fitness related since I played football in 5th grade, and as I just turned 30 last week, I feel it is long overdue for a comeback.

 

Over the last two months, I've managed to lose about 21 lbs so far, but as my progress has started to slow, I figured it couldn't hurt to have an entire community of like minded people surrounding me to help me keep my resolve.  I have been doing a mix of running and the beginner body weight workout to get me to the point that I am at so far, but as my goals for next year now include several more difficult hikes, I've swapped out running for the stair machine and steep inclines on the treadmill. In NF fashion, I have also been eating a paleoish diet to help me reach my goals. The "ish" mostly comes from the occasional pizza that I enjoy in moderation.

 

Anyway, I hope that I get to know everyone better as time goes on, and hopefully you all can be the push I need to continue improving myself, and try new things.  Best of luck to everyone!
