Actually Tested my 1rm - surprised.

Recommended Posts

So, I took part in the virtual Powerlifting meet from down the forum, and I had rather surprising results.

I managed to get a good squat in at 335lbs, which was about 20lbs higher than I was expecting.

I put up 2 plates (big PR and milestone) on the bench with some difficulty on my second attempt, but then managed to push a 235 on the third, to my own surprise. I'm getting better at the setup for bench.

Then on my deadlift, traditionally my best lift, I made my opener at 350, and then failed to bump it up. Going to retest that again next week, I think, without the heavy squats before hand.

All in all I moved 920 lbs, which was significantly higher than expected. Now all I can think of is trying to join the 1k Club... goals.

Edit: I'm going to stop clogging up the w00t room every time I move up in weight. Last thread in here for a while.

Sounds like you got the bug. Very nice performance.
