My favorite NSV (non-scale victory) EVER!

Recommended Posts

Today was the first time I have been able to RUN around the back yard with my son... ever. In the two and a half years he's been here I haven't had the energy or ability to run around and chase him and all the awesome father/son backyard stuff. We played ball in the yard today and I actually was able to run around after the ball and, even better, I WANTED to! We had so much fun and, to be honest, it made me a little teary-eyed.

This is what it's all about.

That's awesome. I hope that this motivates you to take it as far as you can go and open doors to everything that you've missed out over time due to your health. Looking fwd to read about many more woots to come. Congratulations.

Truly neat. (uninvited philosophizing follows)

I don't know how you were with your father, but I know my sons liked seeing Dad do awesome things. Boys want to be around men. Men do physical things (assuming they are not injured, disabled). Sons want a dad to challenge them and against which they can measure themselves.

Warriors don't count reps and sets. They count tons.
