Taken down by the wrist

Sprained my wrist (& thumb maybe?) pretty badly at gymnastics two and a half months ago!

 

It made everything so hard to do including cooking, cleaning, typing and especially getting to the gym. My totally inability to do small tasks, like button and unbutton pants, easily or by myself took me out. I've never been injured before to this point. So I think it's somewhat understandable that It would break me down like it did. The pain is, only this week, starting to subside, and I'm tired of feeling sorry for myself and being a lump!

 

I joined this challenge round to try and slam me back onto track.

 

What are some ways I can avoid this emotional breakdown/feeling of being useless if I get injured badly again?

Any advice is greatly appreciated.
