Wardog
Hi! Wardog here. I am a 54 year old father and grandfather. I came to this site looking for a support network. My family is not very helpful when it comes to my fitness goals. My main fitness goal right now is to reduce my weight from 256 lbs down to 200. I also want to get my waist from the current 42 down to 34. I want to be a lot stronger, faster and more coordinated. I realize I need to quantify these goals a lot better, but this is just an intro. I am currently in Week 5 of the "Couch to 5K" program. I am going to use bodyweight and environmental training for strength and conditioning. My events right now are hiking and Obstacle Racing. I plan to move up from local mud runs to Spartan Races up to the Tough Mudder and the Spartan Beast. I will also be including duathlon and adventure racing in the next two years. I look forward to sharing my journey with you all... 2 Quote "Life isn't about finding yourself. CyningaDena
Glad to have you on board, Wardog! I like your progressive goals for working your way up to Tough Mudder and the Beast. How's Couch to 5K treating you? I strongly dislike running, but slogged through Cto5K with the help of the Zombies, Run! app.I'm looking forward to following your progress! Noname123
Welcome There's an OCR/Spartan thread around here somewhere, I'm actually working on my first Tri this year! You should think about checking out local Spartan workout groups/crossfit type gyms, lots of elements of both in the Spartan races! Quote Spaz Ranger BATTLE LOG You can have results or excuses.
