Hi everyone,

Happy New Year!

I have been lurking around the forum for a while now so thought it was about time I formally introduce myself.

My name is Andreea, 23 years old from a little(ish) town in the UK called Milton Keynes. I have been a member of the Academy for a year, and what a year it has been. Although I did not achieve all my goals, I have made some good progress and gained a lot of invaluable knowledge.

Nonetheless, in June 2015 I got a promotion in my company which brought with it a lot of stress I had not anticipated. It was also not quite what I expected, so long story short I started hating it and got myself really down to the extent to which I was diagnosed with depression a few months ago. I was stuck in a downward spiral so did not pay any attention to my health/fitness anymore which means I unfortunately took a few steps back and am now starting from the beginning. Which sucks, I am a mountain biker and have seen a massive negative impact on my performance - particularly my ability to bike up steep hills!! But, lesson learnt.

I am ready to get back in the game now - although this time, I won't try to do it solo. I am notoriously bad at socialising online but everyone on here seems wonderful so I will make it a priority to get involved and get to know everyone.

So on that note, looking forward to the first 4 week challenge, it sounds like a lot of fun!

If I am not mistaken, we do our first challenge as a recruit? I know my heart belongs to the rangers, but don't want to run before I can walk - or break any rules!

Look forward to bring part of this wonderful community and making 2016 the best year yet =)

Hey Levana!

I'm a new recruit too (and not too far from MK, in Warwickshire) so a warm welcome to you :)

My heart too belongs to the Rangers, but you're correct that we do our first challenge as a recruit - but also jump along to the Rangers thread and get involved in conversations and get to know people, they're very welcoming.

Looking forward to undertaking the first challenge alongside you comrade-in-arms :)

Hi Terror,

Thank you for the warm welcome, it's great to meet a fellow rebel from the same part of the world.

I will pop over to the ranger thread and say hello as you suggested, thank you for confirming :)

Likewise, & best of luck - the challenge seems both very exciting and a little bit scary but also looks like a lot of fun :)
