Hi everybody! (...raise your hand if you heard that in Dr. Nick's voice in your head)

I've been a fan of the site for a while and figured it was time to take the plunge into the forums.

The tl;dr version of my story is that I discovered douchebags ("You'd be perfect if you lost 10 lbs", "I like the weight on your license better", etc.) and emotional eating as an adolescent and stayed committed to both for years. My 5'3" self has been 115 due to underfeeding and overcardioing, 173 due to binging, and pretty much everywhere in between. Last year, I finally (finally! I'm a slow learner) kicked the d-bag habit and am currently baby-stepping my way to a healthier lifestyle. Right now, I'm around 150, get severely winded sprinting half a block to catch the T, and cannot (nor have I ever been able to) do a single classic pushup, so there's nowhere to go but up!

Oh, and apropos of nothing: I made it to 100% in Lego Harry Potter 5-7 last night. :)

Thanks for the welcome!

I've got a few long-term goals in mind:

- Make 80% of my meals and snacks paleo-ish

- Jog a mile without stopping

- Do at least one damn pushup

- Lose ~15 lbs (or an equivalent amount of inches) of flab

I'm planning on participating in the next 6 week challenge. My fitness challenges will probably be related to transitioning my diet, following the Rebel Fitness Guide, and building up my cardiovascular endurance.

You're list of goals looks great. I still don't have a neat definitive list. But I think you have found as I have, that the greatest motivator is making a conscious effort to do something for yourself. Instead of trying to please other people. You always come first :)

Awesome! I may or may not participate in the challenge since I kinda have my own thing going on...but who knows, maybe it'll give me that extra push.

TONS of great tips on here on eating paleo. Personally I've found it pretty easy, as long as I'm home and have time to grocery shop and prepare food. Otherwise it's kind of a struggle...haha :)
