Zima
Met and exceeded. Each for about 2.5 reps. This isn't my strongest level, but I lost *all* my strength while traveling for 4 months last year. Literally couldn't bench more than 135 when I returned, and I weighed only about 140...I looked noticeably smaller *and* had lost all definition. Couple months of lifting later my strength is at an acceptable level again Currently 150lbs ~10%bf. Now time to try something new for the Spring. I'll be getting back into MMA in the Summer(because I'll be a student again, which means cheap classes!)...but I'd like something fun and different until then. I thought about training for a marathon but I'd prefer to work on strength and endurance more to prepare for the MMA...maybe just do the standard heavy compound lifts once a week and do some type of circuit training on the other days. If anyone has suggestions, let me know! Quote Link to comment
Book
Nice job, Zima! Those are great levels!Have you ever thought about throwing? Depending on where you live, there are often Track and Field or Highland groups around. It's a great way to develop explosive strength, plus it's just freaking fun. Think about it... you too could throw a tree! Quote Character and Epic Quest! Current Challenge Battle Log Link to comment
Zima
Throwing trees.....OH MAN. That sounds awesome!I might look around for that. Though that'll also likely be easier to do once I'm in school again - there's clubs for everything there! I'm sure there's one for throwing. Oh, the plights of not being a college student.
