Astreja
I've been trying to increase fitness over the past couple of years, but with fibromyalgia and arthritis in various leg joints it's been a struggle to find something that doesn't make matters worse. After overdoing things a few times and failing a lot of saving throws versus ouch, I think I may have something sustainable: Swimming. I've been going to a local pool, trying to improve my strokes and doing laps in the lane-swimming area, and for one it isn't killing me. I also got a contact for a local Masters swimming group at another nearby pool, and might also hook up with them to have a more structured swim once a week. It's nice to be back in the fitness realm, and even better to be feeling better rather than worse after a workout. 2 Quote Astreja K. Guest
Nice! Swimming is great. Good for the joints, good for the muscles. Feels good in the summer, too. Glad you found something that works for you! Quote Link to comment
