KWicKy78
Hello All,I am Kyle. I'm a 22 year-old recent college graduate who will be returning to school in the fall. I will be pursuing a degree in Exercise Science. Long story short, I want to own and operate a gym some day and help people become healthy. But first, I have to become healthy. My goal is to hit 231 lbs with minimal body fat. Why 231? Because that is the final split weight for Olympic Weightlifting before the "unlimited" weight class. I want to try out some day. Even if I never even come close to competing, I want to try out.So now you know a little bit. Questions, comments, and concerns can be directed my way. Quote Link to comment

Corbab
I like your weight goal. There's something to be said for an Olympic level of proficiency, and knowing the only thing that separates anyone from any one of them is nothing more than willpower and dedication.Welcome! So I might as well get good at lifting heavy things over my head Quote Link to comment

KWicKy78
Gracias to all for the welcomes. As per my plans, I lift M, W, F on some weeks, and F, Sun, Tues, on others. It depends on my workout partner who is a student teacher (very demanding schedule). Right now my "Olympic" lifts are broken down into parts. I do deadlifts, overhead presses, and power cleans on various days. Most of my workouts consist of back and legs on the first and last day of the lifting week, and a chest heavy day in the middle. I'm a firm believer in the 2:1 back to chest ratio for lifting. Especially because I've worked my chest consistently whereas I hadn't been working out my back until a few months ago. A lot of catching up to do haha.Legs carry the heart so I am a firm believer in working them hard as much as possible. On some of my off-days (non-lifting), I do plyo circuits that are low resistance and high cardio. I can run or bike sometimes, but I get so bored quickly. The only ways for me to really do cardio and stay interested are plyo circuits, intervals, and games (basketball, frisbee, etc.).In the fall I will be returning to college for 2 years to get my B.S. in Exercise Science (there are many jokes that any one of us could make about that statement). I am currently at 285 lbs. I was 300 even on December 21, 2011, and I'm not looking back. I've converted to mostly Paleo (can't give up Clif Bars for some reason), until Saturday when I usually go out and eat shit haha. I've tried to get fit before, and it's a very long story, but this time is different. I've never really cleaned my diet before so that's obviously huge. I've also never really extended myself out to a community like this, so this is all very new.Anyway, game on people: Quote Link to comment
