rudeesallaround
Hello All, I am new to Nerd Fitness, and after reading the book I am really excited. Most other fitness programs I have tried never really sparked my interest. I really like the emphasis on this being a life long, habit forming situation. I have been a nerd for many years, but 10 years ago I was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. That was a life changing even in my life that made me really start paying attention to my diet. After fighting depression, and reacting to my emotions with food. About 8 years ago I stopped all that, and got control of both my diet and my blood sugar. About 8 months ago my daughter started working out using Wii Fit, and I started with her. Being a nerd I have to research everything I do, and quickly graduated away from the Wii Balance board. I now do a daily yoga routine that has firmed me up, and slowly built my core, and brought my weight down. Well my weight loss has stopped, and my muscles don't seem to be growing any more so I went looking for a more focused solution. I ended up here because everyone here looks to be my kind of people. So hello everybody!Since I have some strength already, and only have a pushup bar, and a set of dumb bells. I have become a member of the DumbBell division. Cheers! Quote Link to comment
