KeysMcGee
Man, it's been a while. At least three years since I've last posted on here. Maybe 4? I could look it up, but I only have so much time to hammer this topic out. Oh, where are my manners? Hey everyone! I'm theflyingaccountant. Currently, I'm neither flying NOR an accountant. At least, not yet. More on that later. The last time I was on these forums, I was... -Single -Trapped in a house that I could not sell -Working in a job that did not challenge me Now, I'm... -Engaged -A former homeowner who's currently renting in a new city -In grad school in pursuit of my CPA Anyway, my fiance has been a member of Weight Watchers for quite some time. She likes using their "connect" feature particularly because so much of it is like the way the Internet used to be before it got all commodified and stuff. You guys remember the LiveJournal days, right? Back when you could share your struggles and receive genuine support and encouragement from your respective communities? Well, all that got me thinking...I still remember one community that prides itself on supporting its members in much the same way. In fact, that's what I loved the most about you guys: The community. And watching her make all those posts on connect reminded me how much I missed NerdFitness. Since my job situation has changed and I'm not coming home exhausted and burned out all the time, I figured why not give it another shot. So here I am. There's a lot more to the story, of course, but time is short, and I have a tax class to prepare for. I do want to get in on the next 4 week challenge when it comes around. I see you folks have an Adventurer guild that I think is right up my alley. I'll try to crunch some data tonight and tomorrow and come up with a workable challenge that I can start hacking at in the meantime. Until then, I guess I'll see you all on the front lines! 5 Quote "When everything seems to be going against you, remember that the airplane takes off against the wind, not with it." -Henry Ford "If you know the way broadly, you will see it in all things." -Miyamoto Musashi "Oh, she says, well, you're not a poor man. You know, why don't you go online and buy a hundred envelopes and put them in the closet? And so I pretend not to hear her. And go out to get an envelope because I'm going to have a hell of a good time in the process of buying one envelope. I meet a lot of people. And, see some great looking babies. And a fire engine goes by. And I give them the thumbs up. And, and ask a woman what kind of dog that is. And, and I don't know. The moral of the story is, is we're here on Earth to fart around. And, of course, the computers will do us out of that. And, what the computer people don't realize, or they don't care, is we're dancing animals. You know, we love to move around. And, we're not supposed to dance at all anymore." -Kurt Vonnegut. Link to comment

KeysMcGee
Glad I could be of assistance, Juvi! I had to step away from the boards because life kinda got in the way, but I'm back now. 1 Quote "When everything seems to be going against you, remember that the airplane takes off against the wind, not with it." -Henry Ford "If you know the way broadly, you will see it in all things." -Miyamoto Musashi "Oh, she says, well, you're not a poor man.
