Wil
Ok guys, I love sushi, and I usually have some kind of Bento box at least twice a week. Only thing is. I have no idea what the heck kind of fish I'm eating. So here is a pic of my lunch today (along with a cup of miso soup). I know the shrimp (ebi) and eel (unagi) and the imitation cab stick (name?). The rest elude me, but I eat it all the same. I'd really like to know what the white fish is towards the bottom, that is my least favorite. Thanks!Wil Link to comment
WizardTrip
I'll take a stab at it.Starting at the ginger....tuna, salmon, yellowtail, shrimp (you had that one), whitefish. The rolls look to be tuna. I could have the yellowtail and whitefish mixed up. ETFnerd
the bottom white one looks to be ika/scored squid... was it rubbery...?the fish that looks white in the middle is traditionally fluke, but these days many places substitute tilapia or some other cheaper fish... yellowtail is red in color (i'm pretty sure...)...the brown one is unagi/eel... everything else is obvious... i think... i don't care what u think of me. unless u think i'm awesome. in which case u're right. Also, although I said "white fish", I do believe it is a generic term used to describe whatever white fish is in season at the time, so I'd go with your answers on that middle one as well. Yeah is was rubbery. Thank you guys. I think I'll skip the squid from now on. It just tastes funny to me. Everything else is great. Link to comment

aj_rock
The one on the far left looks like imitation crab to me...Whatever. It's all delicious. Why must I put a name on the foods I choose to eat and how I choose to eat them? Rather than tell people that I eat according to someone else's arbitrary rules, I'd rather just tell them, I eat healthy. And no, my diet does not have a name.My daily battle log! Link to comment
