righttorocksteady Posted May 31, 2013 Report Share Posted May 31, 2013 I came across nerdfitness a couple of months ago when I really started lifting weights. The articles on the big strength training exercises (squat, deadlift, bench, pullup) were helpful and I liked that there were a good number of women strength training (and getting really strong too!). I consider myself to already be in fairly good shape because I'm pretty much forced to workout every morning with my job. But I know I can do better, and I want to be a lot stronger. I don't want to be scrawny and weak anymore (I'm 5'2, 115lb) My long(er) term goals are to bench my bodyweight, squat 1.5 times that and deadlift 2x that. And I want to be able to do weighted pullups. Right now the most I've benched is 85 and I haven't tested myself squatting or deadlifting because I don't want to compromise form. Unfortunately, because of my training I can't go to the gym regularly for the next three weeks (just on the weekends) but once that's over I'll join the next 6 week challenge here. Link to comment
