I've had a crunching in my knee for about a year. A few months ago it became painful. A little over a month ago I joined my gym and started working out with my trainer about 3 weeks ago. Today I finally saw the doc, and he gave me the green light to keep going with my trainer. I was so scared he was going to say to stop or take it easier. All I have to do is work on building up the muscles around my knee (especially my quads) and my core. Oh, and "aggressively stretch" my hamstrings after every workout. So, YAY!
